A new linden tree avenue has been planted in the English park at Zbiroh Castle, serving as a natural extension of the landscape and a legacy for future generations. The planting is part of the Castle’s long-term commitment to caring for the historic park, whose unique character is shaped by the harmony between nature, history, and a thoughtful approach to the surrounding environment.
The linden tree has long been regarded as a symbol of the Czech landscape, stability, and community. The newly established avenue is therefore not only an aesthetic addition but also an important step towards supporting biodiversity, restoring greenery, and promoting the sustainable development of the Zbiroh Castle grounds. In years to come, the trees will provide shade for visitors, create a natural habitat for birds and pollinators, and contribute to a healthier microclimate across the estate.
The English park at Zbiroh Castle is among the most significant landscape parks in Western Bohemia and continues to focus on preserving its historical heritage while respecting nature and the surrounding countryside.
Special thanks go to Lesospol Zbiroh and VAFO Group for their valued cooperation and support in establishing the avenue. Together, we have created a space that will continue to grow and bring enjoyment to both visitors and nature for many years to come.
